In November 2021, the Byron Public School district community voted to approve a $44 million referendum. The projects include improvements to the administration and community services building, additional classrooms for the high school, a new auditorium, and a new athletic facility for the high school.

Athletic Facility
The athletic facility, part of the 2021 referendum, consists of a new turf football / soccer field and 9 lane synthetic track with seating for 1,700 fans. A new concessions / ticketing and restrooms building is being constructed to enhance the fan experience, and creating a new varsity softball and baseball fields and several practice fields to serve the Byron Athletics programs.
