Kellogg Middle School – Indoor Air Quality Improvements

Knutson partnered with Rochester Public Schools to deliver vital indoor air quality improvements and building system upgrades at Kellogg Middle School during the summers of 2024 and 2025. The $41.8 million project featured a full replacement of outdated mechanical and electrical systems, a complete overhaul of ventilation and heating, upgraded lighting and controls, and a new roof—enhancing both comfort and efficiency for years to come.

To keep the focus on learning, our team carefully phased construction across two summers, minimizing disruptions for students and staff. This approach allowed the district to extend the life of the existing facility in a cost-effective way—providing long-term value without the expense of new construction.
