Celebrating National Civility Month by Honoring Team Blue Members

August is National Civility Month, a time to reflect on how the way we treat one another shapes our communities, workplaces, and beyond.

At Knutson, civility is more than a nice-to-have; it’s part of the Knutson Experience. It shows up not only on our jobsites and in client relationships, but also in the everyday moments we share with our colleagues. Respect, kindness, and collaboration are what make our teams stronger and our work more impactful.

As we wrap up August, we’re proud to highlight a few of our employees who truly embody these values. Through their actions, they bring civility to life and demonstrate what the Knutson Experience is all about.

Wally Heidelberger, Safety Manager

Team blue members say: Wally embodies respect, kindness, and positive communication in everything he does. Always approachable and uplifting, he is someone you will never see without a smile. Through his servant leadership, Wally is consistently there to support others, offering help whenever it is needed. His positive presence fosters trust, collaboration, and a welcoming environment for everyone around him.

Mike Brinker, Superintendent

Team blue members say: Mike approaches every day and problem that pops up with a positive attitude and often a couple of clever solutions. He keeps a project fun; everyone deserves a Brinker on their team!

Tony Lucht and Dave Fournier, Superintendents

Team blue members say: Both Tony and Dave are really good superintendents who are kind and use respect when dealing with not only their subcontractors, but also they’re foremen.

We appreciate the employees we’ve recognized for exemplifying civility in action. We encourage everyone, both inside and outside our company, to uphold these values throughout the entire year!
