Our Story, Values

Diversity + Inclusion: Celebrating History + Culture

At Knutson, we are proud to prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything we do. Our commitment to putting people first extends to our employees, partners, and the communities we serve. We understand the importance of creating an inclusive culture that values and celebrates the rich history of identities and experiences that make up our team.

Juneteenth & Pride Month

As we honor Juneteenth and celebrate Pride month, we are reminded of the resilience and strength of our communities throughout history. Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. This occurred on June 19, 1865, two years after the proclamation was signed by President Lincoln. Today Juneteenth is a National Holiday, recognized and celebrated throughout the USA!

Pride Month is a time to celebrate and uplift the LGBTQ community and their contributions to society. As we come together to celebrate Pride, we honor the rich diversity of our communities and affirm our commitment to creating a more inclusive environment where all employees feel safe and valued.

Our Values

Our D&I initiatives are guided by our four pillars to success, including employee engagement which allows us to educate and bring awareness to important events like Juneteenth and Pride. By recognizing and celebrating these moments, we show our employees that we value and respect everyone’s cultural heritage and identity and foster important conversations about social justice, equality, and diversity.

Embracing diversity allows us to tap into the unique perspectives and talents of our employees, leading to better decision-making, increased creativity, and a more innovative workplace. We aim to create a workplace where everyone feels assured, inspired, and appreciated.

As we continue our D&I journey, we invite our employees, partners, and communities to join us in embracing diversity, celebrating inclusivity, and standing up for equality. Together, we can create an inclusive environment for all.
