Knutson Construction Promotes Micah Vainikka to New Corporate Director of Preconstruction
Knutson Construction is excited to announce the promotion of Micah Vainikka to the newly created role of Corporate Director of Preconstruction. In this position, Vainikka will lead a dedicated team focused on providing industry-leading preconstruction and estimating services to Knutson’s clients. His primary responsibility will be to expand and streamline the company’s preconstruction services, ensuring that customers receive the most accurate analysis to understand the costs, challenges, and opportunities that come with their projects.

Vainikka, who brings a wealth of experience in the construction industry, is excited to take on this new challenge. “I’ve been in construction my entire career, and I’m honored to lead a team that consistently delivers expertise,” Vainikka commented. “We’ll continue to bring The Knutson Experience to our customers, strengthening the long-term relationships that have served both our clients and Knutson so well.”
A graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead, Vainikka holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, earned in 2013. He is also a LEED Green Associate and is actively involved in both the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). Vainikka resides in the Twin Cities metro area with his family and is currently a member of St. Louis Park Senior High School’s Career Pathways Advisory Board, further underscoring his commitment to the development of future industry talent.
