Mike McMahan

Mike McMahan brings more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a unique background spanning healthcare systems, development, design, and construction. Throughout his career, he has partnered with major health systems to guide strategic growth, facility planning, and operational improvements, with a strong focus on system operations and Lean process principles that support high-quality patient care.

At Knutson, Mike will lead our healthcare practice, overseeing sector employees across all offices while expanding relationships with both new and existing healthcare partners. His experience working within organizations such as Allina Health and HealthEast Care System gives him valuable insight into the operational needs of healthcare providers and how thoughtful construction partnerships can support their long-term goals.

Outside of work, he enjoys running and is currently just six states away from completing a marathon in every state. He and his wife, Krista, have three children: Hannah, Jake, and Cole.
