Powering Communities: Our Growing Roll in Energy Projects

These projects have strict safety standards, careful coordination around live utility operations, and smart phasing. From operations centers to fleet facilities to critical system upgrades, our focus is always on reliability and long-term performance.

Xcel Energy Chestnut Redevelopment

One great example is the Xcel Energy Chestnut Redevelopment in Minneapolis. This complex, phased project required us to keep critical systems like transformer shops, labs, and material storage fully functional while construction was happening all around them.

Xcel Energy Chanhassen Service Center

Out in Chanhassen, we’re building a 131,000 sq ft electric distribution support facility on a 23-acre site. The project has already earned an MNSHARP Award for safety, which is a huge testament to the team’s dedication.

Xcel Energy St. Cloud Service Center

In St. Cloud, we’re developing a 19-acre campus with multiple purpose-built facilities: two 65,000 sq ft service buildings, a 34,000 sq ft fleet maintenance facility, and a 40,000 sq ft support/storage building. The design is all about making day-to-day operations smoother for both staff and fleet.

Xcel Energy Wescott Natural Gas Plant

At the Wescott Natural Gas Plant in Inver Grove Heights, we’re constructing a brand-new 19,000 sq ft control room. It includes training spaces, offices, break rooms, a mechanical/electrical shop, and more.

Xcel Energy Onalaska Service Center

And most recently, we’ve broken ground on the Onalaska Service Center in Wisconsin. This 142,000+ sq ft facility will house office space, warehousing, indoor vehicle storage, a fleet maintenance area, and more. It’s a true all-in-one hub that supports the incredible teams keeping the grid up and running.

Dairyland Power Cooperative, Harmony, MN

We partnered with Dairyland Power Cooperative to deliver a 23,000 sq ft facility in Harmony, Minnesota. Completed in March 2022, it includes an office, plus vehicle storage/warehouse space filled with offices, training rooms, crew areas, a wash bay, and general support zones
