Team Blue’s Women Build 2023
At Knutson, we sincerely believe in being good corporate citizens. We know that working and living in our communities is both a responsibility and an opportunity. As such, we find it crucial to give our time and talents to the communities we live, work, and play in; you can count on Team Blue to make a positive impact, wherever we are.
Each year, each Knutson office bolsters their volunteerism ventures by offering both monetary contributions and helping hands at local nonprofits they care about, among other methods. One annual opportunity we always look forward to participating in is our annual Women Build day.
This event is a highly anticipated outing that empowers the women of Team Blue to come together as volunteers and philanthropists to address the growing affordable housing crisis via volunteer opportunities presented by Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. We view it as an opportunity to support a local family, learn new skills, and connect more fruitfully within our teams – as well as further our mission to encourage and support women within construction, our industry of choice!
This year, Team Blue held two separate Women Build volunteer days at the beginning of August, with nearly twenty volunteers participating. Women enjoyed helping with construction tasks like flooring installation, taping, and painting at a housing development located in Minneapolis.
We are so grateful for opportunities to be able to show up for the communities that need us as well as foster our values of fun and teamwork. We’re already looking forward to next year!
