While construction provides a promising career path to many, today’s high school students seldom seem to consider the industry when weighing their professional options after graduation. At Knutson, we’re investing in the future of the trades, making a way for a new generation. We have teamed up with several local schools in our communities to offer industry education and pull back the curtain on possible career paths high schoolers might have missed when thinking about their post-secondary plans.
Casey Sarver
As the Vice President of Human Resources, Casey provides HR leadership to all offices and leads collective efforts to establish Knutson as best-in-class in attracting, developing, and retaining talent. In his role, he also establishes collaborative HR services that align with Knutson’s culture, values, and strategic plan, ultimately contributing to the sustained growth of the company. Casey believes that Knutson’s most important resource is its people, and he has been working to engage, enable, and empower each employee in their work since he joined Team Blue in January 2022.
Steph Ekeren
Knutson’s Human Resources Manager, Steph, has worked to implement programs that aim to foster employee engagement, improve existing initiatives, and align with Knutson’s culture since she joined the team in August 2022. She finds great satisfaction in delivering collaborative services that create a positive employee experience and takes pride in her ability to actively engage, enable, and empower both employees and leaders in her role. Steph most enjoys how her position allows her to work closely with employees, helping contribute to their personal and professional growth while also being a supportive resource as they navigate challenges.
Melissa Kilian
Melissa is Knutson’s Human Resources Coordinator, initially joining the team in 2018. In her role, she is a resource to Knutson’s employees first and foremost, working on processes like employee onboarding and benefit administration among other supportive tasks. She also works to enhance employee engagement and organization culture by implementing recognition and appreciation programs company wide. Melissa loves being able to deliver The Knutson Experience to all of Team Blue by supporting Knutson’s employees in professional growth while having fun along the way, and wants others to feel valued, empowered, and appreciated in their roles the same way she does.
Kane Lindsay
As Knutson’s Corporate Trainer, Kane focuses primarily on employee training, leading internal programs like the Knutson Development Academy and providing project management software support to all teams. His favorite part of his job is how closely he is able to work with Knutson’s top-notch people; he frequently engages in one-on-one conversations with employees in his work, which gives him insight to ways to improve The Knutson Experience internally and externally. Kane joined Team Blue in July 2017.
Christa Holmen
Christa joined Team Blue in July 2023 as the Talent Acquisition Manager, bringing with her extensive experience in company growth, staffing, recruitment, and retainment. Within her position, she focuses on finding top talent prospective candidates to fulfill open positions on Team Blue as well as supports future employees throughout the hiring process. Christa also works to enhance Knutson’s growing internship program and further numerous diversity initiatives.
