At Knutson, opportunities to shine happen daily. We value what makes you different and empower you to act on your ideas. Our culture is one that encourages, supports, and feels like a family, which is why Star Tribune named Knutson Construction a Top Workplace in both 2022 and 2023.
Join Our Team!
At Knutson Construction we empower our employees to shape the communities they live, work, and play in. Regardless of where you are in your career, this is your chance to transform communities and make your dream of a great career a reality.
At Knutson, we want you to feel like you are more than just part of a team, so we jump at every opportunity to get you engaged within our organization. Employees routinely meet to share company progress toward goals, discuss where the company is headed, and celebrate employee achievements and milestones. Whether it’s volunteering for one of the many organizations that we support, or joining us for our parking lot parties, we truly value fun as part of the employee experience at Knutson. Each spring, employees gather at a fun off-site location for our annual meeting, and every summer we come together again for our annual summer picnic.
We believe that employee satisfaction starts with creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every employee feels welcome, no matter their personal or professional backgrounds. We strive to recognize your hard-earned efforts through our Special K program, Knutson Challenges, Years of Service, Safety Awards, and more—our simple way of saying thanks and recognizing employees for going above and beyond or overcoming challenges and obstacles.
We want to create an environment where great people can do great work; a place where employees can be themselves, are allowed to take risks, and are pushed to continuously learn and develop new skills. Below is a list of ways we help you grow and develop your talents at Knutson:

Investing in the Future
While construction provides a promising career path to many, today’s high school students seldom seem to consider the industry when weighing their professional options after graduation. At Knutson, we’re investing in the future of the trades, making a way for a new generation. We have teamed up with several local schools in our communities to offer industry education and pull back the curtain on possible career paths high schoolers might have missed when thinking about their post-secondary plans.

Together, We Are Team Blue
Our team is rooted in tradition and community. Not unlike a family, we all play different roles, but we each embody The Knutson Experience in our work. To us, that means taking pride and ownership in all aspects, including the projects we work on, people we hire, communities we love, and goals we set. That’s why we believe it is an employer’s duty to continually engage, enable, and empower each employee to continue on their quest for greatness and live out Knutson’s values to the fullest — so we provide those opportunities, day in and day out.
We also know that our people are our greatest asset. They build much more than buildings; every single member of Team Blue contributes to our first rate culture, partner relationships, communities, and beyond. We aren’t surprised when our people exceed expectations or win awards, because we see the incredible work they do every single day. As such, we’re here to support and sincerely celebrate you when you achieve success in your professional journey.
