The Second Street Southeast Parking Ramp at Seventh Avenue in Cedar Rapids fulfills parking needs for several buildings in the surrounding area including the new federal courthouse and the GreatAmerica Leasing Corporation office tower.
The six-story ramp is approximately 210,000 square feet and accommodates 618 vehicles. The ramp replaces more than 80 spaces lost when the new federal courthouse was built. The ramp is built out of cast-in-place concrete. Knutson used aluminum panels in lieu of corrugated steel wall panels on the exterior of the ramp to decreases maintenance and increases the durability and life of the ramp.
