East College Street Student Housing

The Tailwind Group is preserving and enhancing three 19th century buildings in the heart of Iowa City. This mixed-used project consisted of a renovation and addition to the historic Iowa City Pedestrian Mall, including an 11-story tower with 102 student housing units. The project revitalizes the street with a range of vibrant tenants, such as Double Tap Beercade, Riverside Theatre, Roxxy Bar, The Nest Student Housing / Apartments, and The Stuffed Olive Bar.

The preconstruction process started back in March of 2020, with construction wrapping up in 2022 on the historic renovation.
