Rochester Fire Station II
The lower level includes a dispatch center, emergency operations center, office space, and a communications room. The upper level includes four apparatus bays, dormitories, kitchen and dining space, a fitness room, and offices. A small mezzanine and four-story training tower are found on the northeastern corner of the building.
The southeast corner features an outdoor terrace patio. The structure consists of CIP concrete spread footings, CMU bearing walls, precast plank floors, and a steel joist roof structure. Extensive sitework includes a stacked block retaining wall, parking areas, and planting areas. The original savings found through our value engineering process totaled over $350,000. The owner selected enough items that we were able to incorporate an alternate training tower into the project.
