The Edge at Gray's Landing

The Edge at Gray’s Landing is a 90 unit wood framed apartment building built above an on-grade parking garage that provides Des Moines with both high-demand workforce and market-rate housing. The project is owned by Sherman Associates and funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Relief program. The CDBG program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) manages the program for the state of Iowa on HUD’s behalf and selects the projects that receive the grants. The project has been designed to meet the IEDA’s Green Street Criteria, which is a program that promotes public health, energy efficiency, water conservation, smart locations, operational savings and sustainable building practices.
