The Mother Baby Center at Mercy Hospital

The Mercy Mother Baby Center is the second facility in the Allina Health system combining Allina Hospital (Mercy Hospital) with Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota to provide focused care for mothers and babies. The Mercy Mother Baby Center contains 13 Labor Delivery Rooms (LDR), 27 Postpartum Rooms (PP), 2 C-section OR’s, 5 Triage assessment rooms, and 10 Special Care Nursery (SCN) rooms to care for up to 14 babies that need extra attention. This is in a 62,000 sf, two-story building attached to the Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. The design of the new center differs from the existing Mercy Hospital creating its own identity.
