UNI Applied Engineering Building
The new Applied Engineering Building – formerly known as the Industrial Technology Center, will transform the south campus and help students keep up with the industry’s increasingly sophisticated workforce needs. This three-year modernization project includes renovations and additions to the Applied Engineering Building that will increase laboratory and project space to accommodate growing program needs and prepare Iowa’s industry leaders for tomorrow.
Phase one includes demolition of a portion of the existing building that will be reconstructed and expanded to support growing faculty, staff, and students with shared project spaces and collaboration areas. Upon completion of phase one, users will move into the new area and the phase two project area will be vacated so renovation of the space can be complete.
