University of Iowa Children's Hospital

The new 155 bed UIHC Children’s Hospital consists of a 14 floor tower (two below ground and 12 above) totaling approximately 507,000 square feet of floor space. The hospital is home to over 40 different pediatric specialties including oncology, NICU/PICU, and Surgery. It staffs 170 pediatric physicians and surgeons, and over 500 specially trained pediatric nurses. The hospital cares for more than 56,000 patients from every county in Iowa, every state in the U.S., and 8 countries.
