Ramona Wilson Returns to Knutson Construction as Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Minneapolis, MN – 04/12/2022
Knutson Construction announces that Ramona Wilson has rejoined the company as its director of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Wilson will be based out of Knutson’s Minneapolis office while working with the team across all of their offices in Minneapolis, Rochester, and Mankato, Minnesota; as well as Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Wilson says, “I am excited to return to the DE&I role at Knutson where my actions make a direct impact on the local community. The nimbleness and collaborative culture at Knutson, combined with a company committed to DE&I progress, fosters change in a space where it’s so greatly needed.”
Most recently, Wilson was supplier diversity manager for 3M Company. Prior to that, she spent over 8 years building Knutson’s DEI platform by implementing a variety of impactful diversity programs, many of which have helped Knutson meet owner, supplier, and workforce diversity goals. Her creation of the Knutson Alliance Program in 2015 provides development opportunities for minority-owned and women-owned businesses in the construction industry. Moving forward, Wilson will continue her focus on building relationships with diverse trade partners and progressing Knutson’s DE&I initiatives.
Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Management from Concordia University and is the recipient of several awards including Advocate of the Year for NAMC, Minority Business Advocate for MMSDC, and being named one of the top 100 women in supplier diversity by Women Enterprise Magazine.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ramona back to Knutson,” says John Curry, president, Knutson Construction. “Ramona has created meaningful connections in our local markets with programs like the Knutson Alliance Program (KAP) and numerous other initiatives in the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) space. Her knowledge and passion for this work along with her contagious positive attitude, exceptional networking skills, and collaborative nature, contributes to her ongoing success both internally and externally.”
