Two Knutson Employees Graduate from Leadership Blueprint Program
Minneapolis, MN — 4/26/23
Recently, two Knutson Construction employees graduated from the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota’s Leadership Blueprint program. Project Managers Collin Bennett, Rochester, and Jacob Garr, Minneapolis, were honored at a graduation ceremony on April 12, 2023, after initially beginning the program in November 2022.
The Leadership Blueprint program is dedicated to equipping its students with added confidence and lifelong skills, building them out to be better leaders in the construction space. Industry-specific topics, like construction safety, labor, finances, and trends are covered, as well. Garr and Bennett were two of twenty-three total participants in the program, selected after their nomination by Knutson — something both express gratitude for.
“I truly do feel lucky and honored that Knutson nominated me to the AGC for this class,” Garr says. “It shows they are willing to invest in their employees and want to help us all continue growing and developing in our careers.”
Garr also noted that even from the first class, the program pushed the comfort zones of all attendees very intentionally, exposing them to valuable real-life scenarios while maintaining a safe environment that made learning easier. “Being a Project Manager, it is inevitable that I will be put into many uncomfortable situations and will have to have tough conversations with people, or lead larger group discussions with people I may not be fully familiar with,” he said. “After this class, those situations will be a lot easier for me.”
From the entire team at Knutson and beyond, we’d like to extend copious congratulations to both Collin and Jacob for their dedication to the program, as well as thankfulness for their openness to learning new skills that will make them even better leaders both in the field and at the office.
