Steph Ekeren Named 2024 Top Woman in Construction Winner

Steph Ekeren, Human Resources Manager at Knutson Construction, has been named a 2024 Top Woman in Construction by Finance & Commerce.

The Top Women in Construction celebration is an awards program designed to recognize women who are considered outstanding in terms of their contributions and dedication to their profession, communities, and society at large. Women are nominated by peers and supporters, and the limited number of finalists for each category are chosen by an outside panel of judges.

Ekeren’s selection as the winner in the Unsung Hero category was reflective of her many efforts to further build the construction industry’s robust talent pipeline outside of her standard supervisory human resource functions at Knutson. She is especially focused on the recruitment and retention of women and other diverse candidates, establishing multiple programs at Knutson that seek to educate about employment opportunities as well as set up professionals for long-term success in the industry and beyond.
